Typewriter Thought four sixteen twenty

I joined this debate of definition:

Democracy is the culmination of all our greatest efforts of equitable participation summarized into the expression of a vote.

I feel our disservice to ourselves is that we see “Voting” as the only needed way to participate.

We need to do so much more.

Look where “just voting” has gotten us.

We need to become compatriot citizen protectors of the institution that our history has formed.

It is worth our protection. It is worth perfecting.

Not to stay the same and settle.

But to perfect.

We are the only votes we need.

Typewriters didn’t come with custom back lit screens or an illuminated keyboard, so, while trying to type blindly and quietly from a thought I was loosing sleep over at 3 AM, this was the best to appear.

Sorry.

But not sorry.

The time to wait expired months ago.
