My wife and I love our neighborhood, and I love serving our schools.
Disney has a unique opportunity to become an unprecedented leader in early education, with its innovative pod-style infrastructure, its extremely talented teacher and staff teams, and its parent and community base that is so dedicated.
Over the last two years, it has been an honor to work with dedicated peers to address the real issues of our students’ learning environments: their access to inclusivity and comfort, not just text books and technology.
As a school, we banded together during a momentous teachers’ strike.
As a council, we saw a real need and acted appropriately by hiring an additional social worker to staff.
As a community, we have offered ourselves the reassurance of our own continued dedication to delivering only what is best for our students, and that self-reassurance has steered us through challenges that have only strengthened us and our resolve.
It is a privilege to serve as Community Representative on the Disney Magnet Elementary LSC, to liaison with elected officials to advocate for our needs, to partner with local businesses to bring us all up together, and to give my all to making a CPS experience as world-changing as possible.
