Writing Sample: Immigration USCIS Letter of Support Example

More than one recruiter has asked that I supply instead of the below copy, a copy of a document that I wrote myself, and not one written by an attorney in my support.

While I would **love** to have the endorsement of Attorney Atticus Finch, (in 2003, the American Film Institute voted Atticus Finch, as portrayed in an Academy Award-winning performance by Gregory Peck in the 1962 film adaptation, as the greatest hero of all American cinema) is still too busy avoiding killing mocking birds… in a work of literature found across our school systems, thus I was required to pen the below myself. RE: A Letter of Support of Daniel Steven Kleinman, a Candidate for Employment

Dear Sir/Madam:

This letter is being submitted in support of employment opportunities for Daniel Steven Kleinman for service in a position as Assistant Paralegal II.

Mr. Kleinman began his career in nonprofit legal mediation while completing a Bachelor of Arts’ Degree in English at Loyola University Chicago, learning skills directly transferable to paralegal practices. He was first introduced to legal concepts and leadership when elected as President of the Student Body and of Loyola’s multi-campus student government; his dynamic skill set evolved into a legislative consultant, responsible for amendments to Chicago ordinance, legislative reviews for Cook County, and statute for the state of Illinois. Mr. Kleinman is a proud recipient of a Governor’s Pen for his work on 2017’s Illinois SB56.

Mr. Kleinman is assuredly qualified for this position. He earned a temporary assistant position with Fragomen to support the 2016 H-1B Cap Season. The experience was formative. Mr. Kleinman quickly applied and received admission to the ABA Paralegal Studies program at Loyola University Chicago. He earned his certificate while still providing support for himself and members of his family and started working with a Chicago based technology startup leading their H-1B and TN Mexico visa applications. Following that experience, Mr. Kleinman joined an H-1B project assignment with the firm, Quarles & Brady. Most recently in immigration law, Mr. Kleinman led efforts to renew visas or begin new applications caused by the expiring Temporary Protection Status for such areas involved in conflicts of previous decades, such as populations from Kosovo and Bosnia, now residing on the Southwest Side of Chicago.

Daniel Steven Kleinman is superbly qualified for a position such as Assistant Paralegal II. He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts and an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate from Loyola University Chicago. He is equipped with the experience of three H-1B CAP seasons and five years of transferable legal skills.

This letter respectfully requests your most favorable adjudication of this petition for employment of Daniel Steven Kleinman. Please contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,

Atticus Finch, JD
