It was an absolute pleasure to visit the Local School Council of Lake View High School at their meeting last night. Thank you!

I was given the opportunity to meet the dedicated members of the council and further realized that their amazing effort to provide the best learning environment possible exists across the community, parent, teacher, and principal partnerships throughout our Chicago.

The questions were pointed.

My answers were honest.

I closed with my most direct offer.

My only policy is that I will not be a rubber stamp or blind automatic vote to affirm damaging plans.

But more than my policy, is my promise: I will visit again, and I will continue to promote communicative collaboration.

It is what I have always done.
