We knew it.
The Mayor of Chicago has played her hand.
The Chicago City Council has signaled their intent: did you see today’s Sun-Times?
The Mayor of Chicago is saddling debt to a school board that doesn’t even exist yet. The Mayor of Chicago and City Council as a whole want to see the school board in their control, or for it to fail, and be forced to once again, “be Turned Around.”

The City will undermine the Elected School Board in every way possible, even now, two years before Election Day even occurs.
They have already begun their one-sided arbitration of what dollars and what powers will be left to decide the fate of Chicago’s children for decades to come.
That’s serious.
I know everyone is busy tomorrow and resting the day after, but please keep this in mind as Veto Session approaches.
Chicago Needs you to pass HB5815.
The upcoming Elected School Board is already under fire.
They will all be volunteers.
Please be sure their efforts are not undermined from the start.
