The Labor Movement is the Story of the American Movement. The very experience of our Republic is empirically entwined with the objection of unabridged capitalism — we at our root core object to overarching powers without protections of individuals’ interests insured by the power of the many.
It is a belief I hold true. I believe many of us actually do. At least at the basis, there are some things we agree on. Some things.
There is a greater and greater stratification of wealth in our nation.
It is only getting worse.
If we cannot ensure labor protection across all industries, we risk loosing the progress that has been made, simply because the highest will go higher faster than the lower growing at all.
