It is always a pleasure to develop relationships with the small businesses of the neighborhood (Special ShoutOut to Three Wheels Noodle [2339 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647] where you must eat-in for the authentic Thai style cuisine inspired by the micro eateries of the Bangkok streets where the head chef invited me to his childhood home!) and it is very special when a small business contributes to your well being.
As a member of the long term disabilities community, I’ve co-struggled with extrapyramidal symptoms– the effects that impact motor-ability– and years of being off my balance often threw me off my feet in more ways than one.
Strong Hands gym (3924 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60613 – just across the street from the Buena Park neighborhood) has such an inclusive environment that even I feel comfortable going, and Diego, whom I train with, encourages sustainable practices.
It is not often that a small business becomes part of your care team, but if you’re looking for training and programs that help you (re)build your health, from what ever level you may be starting, I have to say I feel lucky to be a member there.
… maybe some “after pics” will follow…
As always, your cheers are appreciated.
